If you are selling goods commercially and are donating a % back to EdConnect Australia best practice would suggest that you are up front about how much is donated to us. This is good business practice and your customers can purchase from you with confidence and can also set you apart from your competitors as a good corporate member of the community.
If you are hosting a fundraiser that incurs costs to your company, it is a matter for you whether to donate these costs as part of the fundraising activity, or recoup these. Should you decide to recoup costs through your fundraiser, again best practice would suggest that you are up front about the $ amount raised and how much is donated. For example, public statements such as “80 cents in every dollar will be donated to EdConnect Australia” ensure your participants are clear about where their money is going.
