Alcoa grant helps young people in school who need additional support.

EdConnect Australia in partnership with Alcoa are providing much needed support for school students in the Peel and Murray regions.  Alcoa has generously provided a US $73,000 grant that will help sustain and grow the local volunteer community and meet the high demand for support across a number of schools in these regions through to December 2017. This grant from Alcoa will help us to connect volunteers who want to make a difference, with young people in school who need extra help through life changing mentoring and learning support services.

Karen Barden, EdConnect Australia Rural Liaison Officer for the Peel and Murray region, is calling upon any community members interested in volunteering to make contact and help make a difference in the life of a young person today!
