2025 EdConnect Awards Nominations – NOW OPEN!

EdConnect’s Annual Awards celebrate the contribution of the people who deliver brighter futures to our young people through the EdConnect program. 

You can recognise the contribution of an EdConnect volunteer, your EdConnect School Coordinator or a teacher at your school by nominating them for an EdConnect award. Let them know how important you think they are. EdConnect is seeking nominations in four categories this year. 

Nominations close: 5.00 pm Friday 12th December 2025.

School Coordinator of the Year 2025
This award celebrates the contribution of school staff who coordinate the program in a member school.  

Criteria for nomination 

  • In 2025, your nominee(s) will have demonstrated outstanding service, managing the volunteer-school relationship, working to ensure volunteers are matched with students and into classrooms  where the need is greatest.
  • Your nominee must be the designated EdConnect School Coordinator.

Learning Support Teacher Recognition Award 2025
We’re calling on Learning Support volunteers to nominate a teacher who has made you feel valued and appreciated in your role in the classroom – together you’ve done great things! 

Criteria for nomination:

  • Your nominee will have volunteered in one or many learning
    support roles during 2025.
  • You will have observed your nominee, or be directly aware of the
    impact your nominee has had upon a student or classroom or in
    any of the other roles listed above.

Mentor Volunteer of the Year 2025
Nominees for Mentor Volunteer of the Year will have shown exceptional dedication and commitment in their role, making a significant difference to their student or students’ learning and well-being outcomes.

Criteria for nomination 

  • Your nominee will have mentored one or more students during 2025.
  • You will have observed the mentoring relationship, or be directly aware of the impact the relationship has had upon a student or students.  Mentored students are very welcome to nominate their mentor for this award.

Learning Support Volunteer of the Year 2025
Nominees for Learning Support Volunteer of the Year, will have shown exceptional dedication and commitment in their role. Learning support volunteering contributes to supporting students, teachers and the broader school community and can include assistance in the classroom, school library, canteen, breakfast clubs, or involvement with literacy, numeracy, craft or sports programs.

Criteria for nomination 

  • Your nominee will have volunteered in one or many learning support roles during 2025.
  • You will have observed your nominee, or be directly aware of the impact your nominee has had upon a student, supporting a classroom or in any of the learning supporting roles listed above.
