This workshop provides the skills and knowledge required to effectively communicate with children with a primary focus on their social and emotional wellbeing. The communication principles and guidelines contained in this workshop have been sourced from the UNICEF guidelines for communicating with children and adapted to meet the requirements of EdConnect volunteers. You will gain an understanding of how important effective communication is for establishing and maintaining healthy and trusting relationships with children.

This workshop is designed to provide you with the skills required to support children from primary school to high school. Positive strengths-based communication strategies, communication styles and effective listening are just a few of the skills you will learn and practice in this interactive and fun workshop.
