An update from our Chairperson
Dear supporters,
As communicated earlier in the year, Danie McNeil was appointed as Acting CEO of EdConnect Australia to allow the Board time to consider options for a permanent appointment.
Over the past six months, the Board has been highly impressed with Danie’s leadership. Her deep understanding of the organisation, unwavering commitment to our staff, students, volunteers, and funding partners, and her ability to lead with integrity and purpose have confirmed her as the ideal candidate to take EdConnect forward.
It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Danie McNeil as Chief Executive Officer of EdConnect Australia, effective from 1 August 2025. The Board is delighted that Danie has accepted the role.
With our head office remaining in Western Australia and Danie continuing to be based in Victoria, EdConnect is well-positioned to meet the challenges and opportunities ahead, and to continue delivering on our national mission—supporting the education success and wellbeing of disadvantaged and at-risk young people across Australia.
