OUR APPLICATION PROCESS

Our application process ensures that we are recruiting the most skilled volunteers to be working with vulnerable and at-risk students. As such please be assured our process assists us in connecting the volunteers with appropriate students and schools.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be available during school hours
  • Must be aged 18 years or older
  • Australian citizen or resident – entitle to live & work in Australia (no temporary VISAS accepted)
  • Fluent English language skills – written and verbal

We do not offer short-term, community service or one-off volunteering opportunities.

 

HOW TO APPLY

2.CHOOSE A VOLUNTEER ROLE

We offer two volunteer roles – Mentor & Learning Support Volunteer. Each role has a different focus and requires different skills and commitment by volunteers. The application form will ask you to indicate the role you are most interested in so have a look at the to see which role suits you.

3.FILL OUT VOLUNTEER APPLICATION FORM ONLINE

Once your application form is submitted, you’ll be allocated to a local Liaison Officer who will contact you and walk you through the next steps.

4.APPLY FOR WORKING WITH CHILDREN’S CHECK & NATIONAL POLICE CHECK

Our team is here to assist you at each step.

5.FACE-TO-FACE INTERVIEW WITH LIAISON OFFICER

A local Liaison Officers will get to know what your interests are in order to match you with the best fit – student and school.

6.ATTEND VOLUNTEER TRAINING

Once your application is successfully processed you will be invited to attend training appropriate to your chosen volunteering role before being placed in a school.
