Anyone who works with, spends time with or supports children and adolescents will benefit from attending this workshop. Being resilient is one of the most important life skills every person possesses, however, for some children these skills require a little extra nurturing.
Participants will gain an understanding of what resilience is and why it is important for helping young people to navigate life’s challenges and ultimately thrive. The workshop will explore the personal and social capabilities children possess that can influence their resilience, potential risk and protective factors are identified, as well as a number of coping and thinking strategies for supporting children are explained.
Participants will leave this workshop with a range of simple and effective skills for assisting children to improve their resilience.
