Gerri went on to acknowledge the amazing change in the new office space.
“When I began almost four years ago, I acknowledged our location at the Rise was in a wonderful building, accessible, excellent local transport facilities, great parking and multipurpose function room available for hire but the big thing for our own office, was that there were two separate open plan offices. It didn’t really don’t work well for us and was far from fit for purpose,” she said.
“Thanks to the team at Bellfort, and to Richard Bellfort who attended on behalf of their team, the new office design looks amazing. We have a large meeting area, two quiet and confidential meeting rooms and the corridor walls have been partially dropped, to open the space and create more natural light”, she said.
“A truly amazing difference and a wonderful fit for purpose space to welcome volunteers and staff into the future,” she finished.
“We were so happy to welcome Ms Lisa Baker MLA Member for Maylands to official open our new office. An advocate for improved public transport services and supporter for local businesses and jobs in her electorate, Lisa is also a leading voice in Parliament and a champion for marriage equality and LGBTIQA+ rights. She celebrates the strong community spirit within her electorate,” said Gerri.
Ms Lisa Baker MLA Member for Maylands then addressed the crowd.
“What an amazing space, this would not have been possible without the assistance of a Lotterywest grant, and I would like to give a sincere thankyou to Nelson De Sousa from Lotterywest for coming along to acknowledge this momentous occasion,” she said.
