Geelong Volunteers Gather By The Sea

Earlier this week, fifteen Geelong Volunteers gathered at Cottage By the Sea in Queenscliff for afternoon tea in the sunshine.

Sally Edgerton, EdConnect Liaison Officer for Geelong and Surf Coast describes the day.

“We were treated to amazing hospitality from Roselynn and Bill and the volunteers really enjoyed the experience. Some suggesting it was the best gathering of volunteers they have been to,” she said.

Cottage by the Sea is a local not for profit children’s camp that operates within similar purpose as EdConnect Australia.

“It was just fantastic to hear more about their programs and actually see where they take place and learn how children get referred to these services.”

“I think [this celebration] highlights the opportunities to share and network with our other local programs. It’s only the second time we’ve managed to meet face-to-face in quite some time, meeting more volunteers for the first time was such a pleasure.”
