The Annual General Meeting for the School Volunteer program Ltd trading as EdConnect Australia was held on the 21st of October at 4:30pm 2019 at The Rise in Maylands, WA.  We were thrilled to have our East Coast Board members in attendance who had travelled to Perth for a strategic planning workshop and the AGM. They joined the Perth based Board members, Stakeholders, Volunteers and EdConnect Staff. The evening focused on the previous year’s outcomes displayed in the Annual Report for 2018.

Kylie Catto, Immediate Past President for WA Council of State School Organisations Inc., was the guest speaker for the evening. Kylie spoke about the benefits volunteers have throughout the community and the social responsibility of its members.

Great questions were asked as EdConnect Australia shared its findings around the impact that volunteering has on the students, volunteers and schools participating in EdConnect programs. Board members took every opportunity to speak to volunteers and greatly valued hearing their stories of supporting and mentoring students of all ages.

EdConnect Australia looks forward to another year of positive outcomes and growth.
