At EdConnect Australia we connect volunteers with young people in school who need additional support, inspiring the older generations to inspire the next. Our team at EdConnect has been training and connecting volunteers with local schools across Australia for over 20 years. The academic and social support our volunteers provide – through one-on-one mentoring and classroom learning support – provide both a safety net and a springboard for young people who might otherwise struggle to realise their potential in school and life. Our services are designed to improve student’s literacy, life skills, self-esteem and self-confidence which contribute to improving learning outcomes and improved student achievements. This is coupled with improvements to volunteer health and wellbeing benefits.
To be successful in this role you are a team player who loves a challenge and working in a community setting. You are confident and self-driven individual who requires little supervision and thinks innovatively, are creative and a proven problem solver. You see opportunities, enjoy meeting with people and helping them through our programs and are passionate about making a positive difference for young people.
This is a fixed term contract through to December 2018, with likely extension into 2019.
