In order to attend this training you must have submitted an application to volunteer and have been interviewed by a Liaison Officer.
DURATION: 3 hours
Module One is an induction workshop for new Learning Support volunteers with EdConnect. This module is also useful for anyone undertaking a volunteering role in school. It should be noted however, that emphasis is upon those volunteering through EdConnect Australia.
AIM:
Provide participants with an introduction to EdConnect as well as offering participants an in-depth understanding of the various types of support roles they can provide students.
OUTCOME:
Participants will learn about volunteer and EdConnect responsibilities, how the partnership between EdConnect and member schools is facilitated, legal considerations and along with many other aspects of the role, participants will gain an understanding of the characteristics which make up the students who are currently in schools.
