CORPORATE VOLUNTEERING AWARD CITY OF COCKBURN

2015

This award acknowledged the efforts of EdConnect at facilitating corporate volunteering.

NATIONAL SOCIAL IMPACT AWARDS CRITERION CONFERENCES

2015: Winner

This award recognised the benefits and impact of our mentoring evaluation toolkit developed in partnership with Applied Research Consulting in the United States. This toolkit is a robust objective measure that ascertains the benefits of mentoring and as far as we are aware is unique in Australia.

ROTARY AWARDS

2009: Winner

Our Timehelp volunteer team in Holroyd was recognised as the first ever winner of this category of the NSW Volunteer Awards. The Centre for Volunteering is the peak body in NSW, promoting and supporting volunteering and community participation.

Over 250 entries were received.  The Timehelp Holroyd team was awarded the title by the NSW Minister for Volunteering Graham West in a ceremony at Parliament House to mark International Volunteer Day (Dec 5).

2008: Working Creatively to Make a Difference

The Department for Community Development recognise programs and services which contribute a positive difference to individuals, families and communities through innovative and creative methods. SVP was a finalist in the category of Working Creatively to Make a Difference, large group/organisation in 2008.

Over 250 entries were received.  The Timehelp Holroyd team was awarded the title by the NSW Minister for Volunteering Graham West in a ceremony at Parliament House to mark International Volunteer Day (Dec 5).

NATIONAL AUSTRALIA BANK VOLUNTEER AWARDS

2003, 2005 & 2006: Education & Youth Development

The National Bank (NAB) Volunteer Awards is an Australian-wide program recognising the efforts of not for profit organisations in providing a positive experience for volunteers and making a difference to the local community. In 2003, 2005 and 2006, SVP was judged the Western Australian winner in the Education and Youth Development category. In 2006, SVP was also honoured to be named the National Winner in this category.

COMMUNITY SERVICES INDUSTRY AWARDS

2004 Strengthening Volunteering

The Department for Community Development recognise the achievements of services, businesses, organisations and individuals who work to help build a better Western Australia. In 2004, SVP was the winner Strengthening Volunteering category.

WA SENIORS AWARDS

2004 Award of Excellence

This category recognises outstanding service by individuals under the age of 60, who have dedicated their time to helping seniors. In 2004, Christine Gray was the recipient of the Award of Excellence.

WA CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARD

2000 Gold Swan Award

This award honours a voluntary service organisation which demonstrates outstanding concern for the community it serves and delivers that service effectively, to improve the lives and opportunities of West Australians. In 2000, SVP was very proud to receive this award.

NATIONAL COMMUNITY LINK AWARDS

2000 Community Service

This award recognises not for profit organisations that are responsive to community needs and values volunteering within our communities. In 2000, SVP was named the Western Australian state winner.
